Heretic has been our top‑selling brand for years, consistently pushing the boundaries of perfumery and delivering fragrances that beguile, bewitch, and bewilder.
Founded in 2016, Heretic was born out of Douglas Little’s mission to do things a little differently; to create perfumes that were less about adornment and more about alchemy. Through Heretic, Douglas invites others to experience scent as something intimate and transformative.
Naturally therefore, Heretic’s approach to the creation of their fragrances is intentional and holistic – each of their plant-based, cruelty-free fragrances is produced ethically and sustainably, their formulation informed by age-old perfumery traditions as well as homeopathy, ayerveda, and herbology. Conceptually, Douglas draws inspiration from art, film, mythology, religion, and spirituality, as well as his own scent memories. All of these elements combined result in fragrances that feel expressive, complex and alive.
That feeling is precisely why we love Heretic so much at Lore. It’s impossible not to be drawn to the sensuality of Scandalwood, to feel unnerved by Nosferatu, to be calmed by Dirty Hinoki.
