Born in Hamburg, Germany, 32.JULI is the shared vision of two sisters, Juli and Maria Magdalena. One named Juli, one born on the 3rd of July, one a designer, one an architect; the brand explores their shared visual language and reinterprets it through a new medium – fragrance.
32.JULI dares us to imagine a day that doesn’t exist – the 32nd of July. It would be an extension of reality, a materialisation of the intangible, a rearranging of time and possibility. This is what the brand aims to do with their creations – alchemise fragrance from the abstract of the atmosphere. Shapes, forms, designs, landscapes, memories, visions, experiences… all of these inform the 32.JULI fragrances conceptually.
Every one of 32.JULI’s fragrances is 100% plant-based, an exploration of how far natural materials can be taken through design, curiosity and time. Each scent is developed as a precise composition, balancing the depth of traditional natural perfumery with the clarity of contemporary niche fragrance. The ceramic caps of their fragrances, pigment studies and material choices are developed through the same creative process from start to finish, so as to allow every element to contribute to a coherent whole and give form to the previously immaterial.
