Mikado Bark from Mihan Aromatics is inspired by autumn afternoons in the park, reading a well loved book as the gorgeous autumn leaves fall around you… how could this not lead the charge as our most autumnal fragrance! This Fitzroy based perfume line is inspired by our wonderful local surroundings and this scent takes us to Fitzroy North’s Edinburgh Gardens in autumn.
Bergamask from Orto Parisi is inspired by a wonderful evening spent dancing at a village party in Italy – the scent of sweat as people dance with joy de vivre, the citrus of the fruits growing on the trees pouring into the space. Happiness, earthy tones, bright and sparkly and ever so slightly animalic.
Tardes by Carner Barcelona is soft and feminine with depth and a little hint of darkness. Inspired by the sun setting over Barcelona, Tardes captures that fleeting moment between day and night. A hint of floral, a bit of earth and then a gentle sweetness overflows!
Black Jade from Lubin is darkly luxurious. Based on the original recipe of Marie Antoinette’s personal fragrance (inspired by the gardens at Trianon). Black Jade was the fragrance that she wore as she was captured, the scent she wore in a small vial around her neck as she was sent to the guillotines. Despite this darkness, Black Jade is an exquisite floral with hints of earth and spice to suit autumn days perfectly.
Ginepro di Sardegna by Acqua di Parma takes us from summer to autumn with ease. Part of the Mediterranean series, inspired by the summer breeze coming through Italy. Ginepro di Sardegna is a touch earthier than the rest of the collection, making it a perfect trans-seasonal fragrance. With gorgeous notes of Cypress and Cedar wood giving depth this scent is both fresh and earthy at the same time.
Etoile by Fragonard is one of our favourites in store due to its versatility. This little star wears beautifully as it opens with a light brightness of fruits, then moves to a smooth and creamy floral heart and a warm base of Amber. Fragonard has created such a well-rounded perfume! The perfect scent to wear during the day, then let it take into night.
Sunny Side Up by Juliette has a Gun is all about taking a walk on the bright side of life. This perfume will always make you feel happy, even if the weather is changing; the days are getting darker, colder and shorter. Sunny Side Up is a light and creamy Sandalwood fragrance that leaves the most gorgeous trail!
Bana Banana is L’Artisan’s newest addition, whilst also a nod to their history. And what an incredible scent! With banana notes to smell like you’ve just peeled yourself a delicious banana, then a slight bitterness to bring out the banana peel. This scent moves into a slightly sweet and earthy base that leaves the linger of a banana in the air. But seriously, this scent is actually incredibly wearable – so amazing on the skin!
Freedom from One Seed gives us a sense of peace and happiness. With musky woody notes, Freedom takes us to a gorgeous orchard with freshly cut grass, fresh fruit and stunning soft roses. This perfume is not only a beautiful scent, it is completely natural, 85% organic and hand blended in South Australia!
Dead Sexy by Tokyo Milk rounds out our top autumn scents – Tokyo Milk always give us quirky and unique fragrances and this one fits the bill to a tee for autumn. Warm Vanilla and Rich Woody notes give us depth and a hint of sweet darkness, an ideal fragrance to wear as the weather gets a little colder.
