P. Frapin & Cie
The quintessence of land and time. Of sensuality and emotion. Of French know-how and art de vivre... Since 1270, the artisanal, family-owned Frapin has been refining its methods of producing cognac, controlling each step of the process. One of the finest cognac producers in the world, Frapin’s style embodies the very essence of cognac – knowledge and well-established methods passed down through generations of the Frapin family. As one of the oldest family owned businesses still operating, the Frapin family have been renowned vine growers for 21 generations.
Realising the opportunity to captivate the senses in another form of creation, something that evokes emotions and memories, Frapin decided to offer scents inspired by their cognacs, their history and our land. Each perfume tells a story. Much like the production of Frapin’s cognac, their perfume line is a composition of their knowledge; their passion for quality ingredients, taking time to develop finely honed skills. Sourcing and selecting the most beautiful raw ingredients, taking the time to showcase sophisticated and complex fragrant compositions and honouring traditions. As Frapin believe, the “quintessence of luxury is taking time to create beauty”.
Frapin’s fragrances are lovingly produced in a small batch scale to preserve their outstanding quality. Working with perfumers to create original and unique fragrances, Frapin affords each perfumer the freedom to express themselves fully through fragrance, while also drawing inspiration from the family’s cognac collection.
Each bottle is topped with beech wood caps from the trees on the family property in the heart of Grand Champagne. The caps are then sculpted by a master craftsman, a reference to the wood from the cognac barrels, as it is much more than just the grapes, which imparts its flavour to the cognac. Then finally, each bottle features the family crest, another ode the family’s rich history.
