Dracaena Cinnabari, also known as Dragon’s Blood, is a bizarre tree native to Socotra archipelago, located in the Arabian Sea. Its nefarious name came about due to the blood-red sap the tree exudes. The sap is prized for its aromatic smoke that is reminiscent of amber, hickory and vanilla pods. The resin has been used for centuries to heal wounds, strengthen the immune system, dispel negative energy and strengthen magical work.

The limited edition Dragon’s Blood is for lovers of intense, dark, and unusual scents. For lovers of oud and those that not afraid of the dark. This fragrance is intense, and exhibits notes of tanned leather, boiled rose petals, saffron, and hints of the animalic.

HOW IT WEARS
Beginning with crisp Lebanese cedar, astringent, warm Omani frankincense, and the bright spice of coriander, as it wears, the hypnotic heart notes of Dragon’s Blood appear. Velvety Rose de Mai, leathery osmanthus and pure dragon’s blood resin create an intoxicatingly warm, gooey feel. As the fragrance continues to dry down, the bolder, unapologetic base notes appear – animalic Persian oud and agarwood, creamy Mysore sandalwood and cozy benzoin resin. Dragon’s Blood will last 6-8 hours on the skin, leaving an irresistible scent trail behind you wherever you go.

Resinous and dark without being overpowering, Dragon’s Blood provides just a waft of smoke nestled in amongst enveloping resins and woods. We find that the incense and oud are the most prominent notes in this scent but are balanced so perfectly that we think this is a very wearable every day fragrance.
