2018 is here and I have the top 3 products to get your skin back on track, after the silly season!
Hydration! Your skin needs it, especially if, like me, you over indulged during the past month. My top pick for when my skin is looking dull and feeling dehydrated is the Madara SOS Hydra Mask. This ‘skin-saviour in a tube’ contains a blend of moisturising natural sugars, northern peony, hyaluronic acid, linseed and nettle. It immediately feels calming on my skin. It is a cream mask that dries but doesn’t tighten the skin which I love, as I am on the drier side! Tip – I actually love using this as an overnight mask. I apply a thin layer all over my face (excluding eye area) and leave it on overnight. Once I have washed it off in the morning my skin feels super soft!
Exfoliation! Use a good quality exfoliating toner like the cult product Pixi Glow Tonic and exfoliate away the cheese, wine and late nights! Well not really, but this product didn’t get its cult status for nothing. The hero ingredient in the Glow Tonic is Glycolic Acid, it penetrates deep into the skin dissolving sebum and removing dead skin cells to help reveal brighter and smoother skin! All completed with Aloe Vera and Ginseng to soothe the skin and improve circulation! Sounds pretty amazing right?! Apply to a cotton pad and sweep across the skin (avoiding eye area), simple! Be sure to use SPF during the day after using this product.
A good dose of Vitamin C! We all know we need this Vitamin in our diet, but we also need it for our skin to keep our bright and youthful glow! My favourite is the Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum. This product is what what the Mad Hippie brand is recognised for, and for great reasons! It has also been one of our best-selling skincare products of 2017, even though it only launched in the second half of the year. It contains a harmonious blend of antioxidants, that work wonders on the skin and at such an affordable price. Vitamin C can help boost collagen production and is easily absorbed into the skin to help with discolouration, pigmentation, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and can assist in healing sun damage.
