For their herbarium, Fragonard gathered the most wondrous plants from the world’s gardens and forests. Keen to preserve a trace of the naturally fragrant botanicals present in its environment, the House created a collection that celebrates nature in all its beauty and wildness.

HOW IT WEARS
This olfactory journey begins with the luminous freshness of grapefruit and neroli, blended with the resinous notes of elemi and the depth of incense. The heart then reveals a powerful and refined vetiver, structuring the composition with a bold woody character. In the base, benzoin unfolds its amber sweetness, while cedarwood and musk extend the trail with a sensual warmth.

LORE LOVES
While this fragrance may be an EDT, it doesn’t mean it lacks power or body. Super fresh and bright in the opening, it doesn’t take long for the vetiver to really come alive on the skin. It’s green, grassy, a little spicy and a little woody. The Vetiver EDT definitely has a classic feel, but because it’s so fresh it never feels dated. A super androgynous, wearable fragrance.

Fragonard

Named after the famous Grasse-born painter, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, the perfume house of Fragonard was founded in 1926. It began as a way of retailing perfumery products directly to the tourists who were at that time just beginning to discover the French Rivera’s charms. Today, Jean-François Costa’s daughters, Anne, Agnès and Françoise, preside over the perfumery’s destiny.

For over 100 years, generation after generation, Fragonard have been sharing their savoir-faire, their profession as perfumers, but also their beautiful region of Provence and town of Grasse, whose flourishing nature and centuries-old arts and traditions have shaped their identity. Fragonard are also well known for owning and operating the Fragonard Museum – a unique museum concept that brings to life the exceptional and often mysterious world of perfume.
