LORE LOVES
We love the blend of fig and mimosa in this fragrance, it’s the scent of a sunny spring day in Provence – and who would turn that down? Not us! We love that this scent transports us to the gorgeous wafting scent of nature. The Fragonard soaps are so strongly scented and have such a rich luxurious lather, they are pretty much as luxe as soaps can get.

Fragonard

Named after the famous Grasse-born painter, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, the perfume house of Fragonard was founded in 1926. It began as a way of retailing perfumery products directly to the tourists who were at that time just beginning to discover the French Rivera’s charms. Today, Jean-François Costa’s daughters, Anne, Agnès and Françoise, preside over the perfumery’s destiny.

For over 100 years, generation after generation, Fragonard have been sharing their savoir-faire, their profession as perfumers, but also their beautiful region of Provence and town of Grasse, whose flourishing nature and centuries-old arts and traditions have shaped their identity. If perfume is the peak of the ephemeral, Fragonard’s craftsmanship has always been synonymous with quality, originality and durability.

Fragonard are also well known for owning and operating the Fragonard Museum – a unique museum concept that brings to life the exceptional and often mysterious world of perfume. There, they trace the history of perfume through objects and information. At Lore Perfumery, we often get customers reminiscing over their travels through France and their wonderful experience at the Fragonard Museum. Their much-loved perfumes can be hard to find in Australia… well, not anymore! Lore is honoured and proud to be one of the few Australian official stockists of Fragonard Parfumeur.
