We’ve had our eye on Jorum Studio for a while now, and we are so excited to finally welcome them into the Lore Perfumery fold!
Edinburgh-based and perfumer-led, Jorum produces original, creative, luxe fragrances that both celebrate the art of perfumery and honour the Scottish tradition of artisanship.
Let’s start at the start though. In 2010, classically-trained Scottish perfumer Euan McCall founded Jorum Laboratories, producing fine fragrance oils for fragrance houses and beauty companies around the world. The natural progression of Jorum Laboratories came nearly ten years later in 2019, when Euan and his partner Chloe Mullen founded Jorum Studio – a fragrance house that allowed them to tell their own stories through scent.Â
We think the fact that Jorum produces their own ingredients is what really sets them apart as a brand. Every one of their fragrances is conceived, formulated, manufactured, macerated, bottled and finished entirely in-house, which it gives them absolute creative control, a rarity in the perfume world!Â
Inspiration for Jorum’s fragrance creations come from everywhere – from Scottish folklore to nature, from technical quality to personal memory. Euan and Chloe also love to do field research – when they’re on walks they’ll forage different botanicals, bring them back to the Jorum lab and recreate them through scent.Â
