HOW IT WEARS
For us, Unspoken Gesture opens really powdery and creamy, its brighter notes only appearing after you’ve given them a little time to come out. Hazelnut, fig, mimosa and rice create this starchy, creamy, powdery, nutty blend that smells skin-like and yet edible in the most comforting of ways. Then, a piquant pinch of cardamom shines a sunbeam into the composition, releasing the greenery of violet leaf and the honeyed qualities of canaga (ylang ylang) and hay. The dry down is all about warm, creamy sandalwood, musk, and the sweet plushness of ambrette.
LORE LOVES
It would be hard to think of a better name for this fragrance. It’s complex, intricate, and interesting, and yet it doesn’t have to shout to be heard. It’s the comfort and delight of being known and understood by someone. It’s definitely a gourmand – the fig, rice and cardamom are the most prominent notes for us – but unlike one we have ever experienced before. We like to think of Unspoken Gesture as the fragrance equivalent of a comfort meal cooked for you by a friend when you’re going through something. You didn’t ask them to do it, but they did anyway because they knew you needed it.
