Named after the year of his birth – Jules Verne was born in Nantes, at the beginning of the century of discoveries. A writer and a poet, the ocean he grew up by served as inspiration for his extraordinary novels of adventure and discovery. Inspired by the “father of literary science fiction”, this scent breathes gentle aromatics, just like a light ocean breeze over the wild landscape with the anticipation of adventure. The scent of a treasure chest created with precious woods and filled with spices from faraway lands, stowed below deck on a boat sailing the wild seas.

HOW IT WEARS
This fragrance is an Eau de Parfum and the longevity with Histories de Parfums is generally about 6 – 8 hours, however, we really get around 8 hours with this particular scent. Initially, the scent is a little brighter filled with aromatic and citrus notes. With a slight aquatic tone, 1828 dries down into a delicious wood scent.

LORE LOVES
Fresh and crisp, with a deep green woody element, this scent is, much like one of Verne’s novels, a journey. We quite enjoy the Pine and Eucalyptus notes in the background creating their camphor-like scent for a point of difference from most other woods. This fragrance absolutely evokes imagined adventures on the high seas, the scent of the clean sea breeze, the ship, and all its wonder.

ABOUT THE BRAND
From the incredible imagination of Gerald Ghislain, Histoires de Parfums is an olfactive library telling stories of famous characters, writers, poets and years throughout history. With this perfume library, Gerald Ghislain wanted to evoke stories through scent just as books are written with emotions. Each fragrance brings a story to life and each story is to be read on the skin.
