Huge news: a new brand (exclusive to Lore Perfumery in Australia!) has just landed in store – .Oddity.
It’s a real point of difference for us with some really cool, conceptual, unique fragrances.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Based in Hong Kong, .Oddity is a contemporary niche perfume house led by a design collective.
Conceptually, they focus on the interplay of visible and invisible arts, creating fragrance with the aim of awakening emotions and associations deeply rooted both in visual and olfactory culture.
Aesthetically, .Oddity are particularly fascinated with imperfections: raw corners, untouched nature, exposed structures, technical details, behind the scenes, overdoses and errors. The world as it is – messy, pure, artistic. This is reflected in their incredible bottle caps – which are all made out of upcycled materials suspended in epoxy resin, each one different from the next. It’s also reflected in the actual juice too – each of their scents has its own story to tell, its own perspective to offer.
THE FRAGRANCES
The two noses behind the brand are Mark Buxton and David Chieze. Buxton is a legend of niche perfumery who has created fragrances for Comme des Garçons, Le:Labo, as well as the iconic L’Air de Panache for Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel. Chieze is a young talent, well versed in chemistry and perfumery, who has created many fragrances for indie perfume houses. .Oddity perfumes are crafted in small batches, using rare and rich ingredients, making them singular and unique in quality. They’re also cruelty free which we love!
DELULU EXTRAIT
Delulu is an escapee hideout filled with memories and joys of fading youth, the sunlight of idle days and never-ending romance. It’s a poetic and evocative capture of a fun and easy time slowly coming to an end. It is a mixture of conflicting nostalgia, oddness and bitterness of reality, For the grown-up who doesn’t want to be grown-up. Each unique cap is made of used toys and plastic from the shores of Hong Kong encapsulated in epoxy resin.

NAKED DANCE EXTRAIT
Naked Dance is an olfactory impression of our lives at home, where we move through the space filled with our attachments, memories and comforts in bliss, where we have the intimate liberty to be ourselves. It is a warm, sensual perfume with milky, woody and powdery notes that live together as a second skin. Every unique bottle cap is made from mixed woods suspended in epoxy resin.

DEAD AIR EXTRAIT
Dead Air is a macabre fantasy of decadent shadows and drama, unfolding from a fresh salty breeze to the deep dark underwater with blurry black tones, exuberant flora and a binding touch of wood. A truly theatrical spectacle to the nose. Every unique bottle cap is made from charcoal suspended in epoxy resin.
