An elegantly intense opening of incense and dusky coriander drapes the evening shadows. As the night falls, a molecular explosion releases the power of unexpected scents. The sleek combination of guaiac wood and sandalwood infused with amber notes offers a luminous warmth with subtle nuances.

HOW IT WEARS
When you first spray Noir by Night, you’re met with a crisp greenness from coriander and mate, warmed slightly by lemony frankincense. Where the real magic happens though is in the heart of the fragrance, where the Dreamwood™ accord adds a musky creaminess to the composition – like sandalwood but amplified, almost milky in character. This is perfectly complemented by the NaturePrint caviar note, subtly briny, a little sweet but also a little spicy. In the dry down, sandalwood, guaiac wood and cashmeran ground the scent, serving as a balsamic, warm, woody juxtaposition to the greener top notes.  

LORE LOVES
Noir by Night is one of those fragrances that while refined, elegant and classy, also has an undeniable sensuality to it that makes you kind of just want to huff it off a lover’s skin (which seems to be something Ateliers des Ors is great at doing!). It’s warm, cocooning and creamy while also a little savoury, almost inky. It’s like if “tall, dark, and handsome” was a perfume… it’s a mysterious stranger who you fall head over heels for, throwing the caution you probably should have taken to the wind.

Atelier Des Ors (meaning “The Workshop of Gold” in French) was founded in 2015 by Jean-Philippe Clermont. Throughout his career in fashion and luxury goods distribution, Jean-Philippe has always been an admirer and patron of the arts in all of her forms. The use of gold, both as a source of inspiration and in the actual juice of the fragrances (each of the Atelier Des Ors scents has 24 carat gold flakes floating in them like perfumed stardust!) is a very intentional creative one that goes beyond luxury for luxury’s sake. For Jean-Phillipe, the union of perfume and gold was an obvious one: perfume melts into the skin like a sensual veil, and gold adorns the skin as jewellery.
