Salt Rose Mutiny is inspired by a Tasmanian windswept coastal rose, it is a scent of rebellion and independence.
Inspired by the story of Charlotte Badger. Once a convict, as part of a mutiny, she reportedly seized a ship around Tasmania’s northern coastline in 1806, becoming known as Australia’s first female pirate. She reportedly sailed across the Tasman (with her young daughter alongside her no less), landing in Aotearoa, eventually anchoring in Rangihoua Bay in the Bay of Islands. Charlotte Badger was given refuge within the local Māori tribe, where she lived a long life as Pākehā Māori (a European living as part of a Māori community).

Founded in 2019 by Craig Andrade, The Raconteur (“The Storyteller”) is an artisanal luxury fragrance brand specialising in Australian native botanicals and plant extracts.
Having attended one of the world’s most prestigious fragrance schools in Grasse, France, and trained by Elise Pioch Balzac, Andrade knows his perfume. Working with world leader in natural perfumery, Mandy Aftel, he has created Australian botanical extracts and fragrances for use in collaboration with Troye Sivan for Tsu Lange Yor, Paspaley and Cult Design.
