Shaped out of the same emblematic Trudon-green glass, the 350ml fluted container is adorned with a gold emblem. Handcrafted in the same glass manufacture as the candles, the Diffuser is topped with a 100% recyclable aluminum ring. Through it, you place 8 natural, black rattan sticks.

Inspired by the aromatic gardens surrounding the Villa Cyrnos (built in 1894 by Empress Eugénie who oversaw the construction of one of the most beautiful villas of Cap Martin on the Côte d’Azur) as it welcomed the flamboyant upper crust of early-20th century high society. Queens, poets and artists met in the shade of fig trees and parasol pines under the warm Mediterranean sun.

They enjoyed a fabulous view and the easy life, so typical of the blue Mediterranean shores. The villa benefited from Roquebrune’s air of scented lavender mixed with the dry aromas of Provence.

HOW IT SMELLS

Cyrnos is such a unique take on a fig-based fragrance – it is aromatic and herbal and earthy with the soft warmth of fig continuously throughout the scent. The perfect balance between fresh fruity and rich earthy makes Cyrnos a best seller as it is so beautifully balanced.

LORE LOVES

We love that this fragrance was a personal one for Cire Trudon when creating it. The Director had grown up in the South of France and knew the scent in the air there very well, so was incredibly strict with recreating it for Cyrnos. And the result is spectacular – this candle is the scent of the South of France in the middle of summer. It is perfectly sublime (almost as good as being there…almost!).

ABOUT THE BRAND

The oldest and most renowned candle makers in the world, Cire Trudon have been creating candles since 1643. As official manufacturers to the French Royal Court throughout this time, Cire Trudon still use traditional methods including hand pouring and hand blowing all glass. A rich and illustrious history that includes Louis 14th issuing the royal seal of approval with the official family crest (as seen on the front of every Cire Trudon product today). As well as stories such as the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versaille burning 50 000 Cire Trudon taper candles daily!
