Today’s Fragrance Friday co-incides with International Cat Day, so today we thought we’d do something fun and talk about what our cats (and other pets) would wear if they could have a fragrance of their very own from Lore Perfumery.
Jade has two gorgeous cats, Blizzard and Raven.
“Blizzard is a beautiful cat and he knows it, he has a rockstar attitude, he likes to be seen and also heard. We have a saying in our house: ‘What Blizzard wants Blizzard gets’. So he gets Falcon Leather Extrait by Matiere Premiere. This is such a powerful fragrance with leather, oud and saffron, and it’s also one of the most expensive fragrances we stock, and I know Blizzard would want me to spend that on him.”
“Raven is also beautiful with her fluffy black and grey coat and her gorgeous green eyes, she’s my little witchy familiar, so I’ve picked Voodoo Lily for her. It’s got a gothic elegance just like Raven, the lily and the rose in it are playful, but you have frankincense and patchouli for a witchy edge.”
Clea has one cat, Buckley (named after the one and only Jeff Buckley).
“I’ve chosen Attendre & Espérer by Frapin for Buckles because it’s a fragrance inspired by The Count of Monte Cristo, which entails a wrongful imprisonment, release, revenge and redemption storyline. Dear Buckley was a rescue and was kept in a cage with 3 other cats for the first few years of his life, and as an Aries he’s not afraid to exact revenge on anyone, so it’s 100% perfect for him!”
Felicity’s super cute kitty is called Juniper Berry (Juni for short).
“Juni is a very sweet little baby, she’s still got kitten energy, but she is from the streets, so she’s definitely got some punk energy about her, she’s a very sassy girl. Needless to say Cherry Punk is perfect for her – sweet but with a grungy edge!”
Courtney also has one cat, Sharona, who’s a bit of a diva.
“I’ve chosen Crystal Saffron for Sharona, because at first sniff, you go ‘ooh that’s yummy and delicious’, but then as it wears it gets deeper and deeper. It’s the gift that keeps on giving and you can never shake it off, just like my Sharona”
Piper has three little felines, Bea, Frankie and Abby.
“Bea was my first baby, my lockdown love, and she’s very attached to me. She’s also a little orange demon who likes to cause havoc, so for her I’ve picked La Fin du Monde, because it’s got this gunpowder note that really pops out.”
“Next is Frankie, he’s a beautiful black tuxedo cat who’s a bit of weirdo. For him I’ve picked the black heart, which is colour-based, but that’s ok because we love an aesthetic bottle!”
“Then we have Abby, she started off a bit green, but she’s blossomed into this beautiful large girl. Coeur Noir is the perfect fragrance for her because it’s very classy, just like Abby.”
Jess may not have a cat but she does have a gorgeous doggie, Stevie Licks (after Stevie Nicks, of course).
“It may be International Cat Day, but I had to include my sweet little dog, Stevie Licks. Since she’s named after Stevie Nicks, I had to pick Purple Mantra by Room 1015 for her. It’s all witchy, rock ‘n’ roll, 70s vibes, which is very Stevie. But my Stevie is also an uber anxious little doggie, so I think the patchouli and incense in this fragrance are nice and grounding and calming which is exactly what she needs!”
