HOW IT WEARS
A delicate yet moving fragrance, Nightstand opens with a sparkle of pink pepper and a squeeze of mandarin before quickly developing to reveal the heart notes of wisteria and lilac. The lilac is powdery, green and almost waxy; the wisteria more fresh, even spicy or peppery, which is perfectly accented by the liquorice accord. As it wears, it actually gets more crisp, fresh and realistic, like dew drops collecting on the first blooms of spring. Musk provides a plush base for the fragrance, filling in the blanks between the florals and the spices, making for a subtle yet lasting scent.

LORE LOVES
This fragrance is so transportive, you can easily imagine it on the nightstand of a young woman in the 50s or 60s, displayed on a tray alongside a silver hairbrush and a jar of cold cream, set upon an off-white doily. Nightstand is not the fragrance of Marilyn Monroe or Sophia Loren; it’s more Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly. Softly sweet, refined and classic without feeling dated, it has an inescapable sense of romance about it that while subtle, still draws you in.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Perdrisât is the brainchild of Callum Mitchell; designed, hand-made and bottled in Melbourne, Australia. Born in 2019 and then released to the public in 2022, the brand name comes from Callum’s maternal grandmother, a woman who to him was the epitome of elegance but at the same time had a wicked sense of humour.
Callum comes from a filmmaking background, which is apparent in every Perdrisât fragrance – each one is a character or a vignette, a closeup scene with vivid imagery. While Callum has his own stories and associations attached to each scent, he invites the wearer to bring their own interpretation to the table, as you would when you watch a film.
With a conceptual, fun and tongue-in-cheek approach to perfumery, Perdrisât doesn’t follow trends or seasons. You never know when a muse might appear, so like writing a poem or taking a portrait, Callum aims to respect the unpredictability of inspiration. There is no telling how many stories there are to share, scenes to capture, or memories to be bottled.
With a slow approach to perfumery, Perdrisât aims to avoid overproduction, manufactured in small batches by Callum. Vegan and cruelty-free, each fragrance in the line is formulated with a combination of naturals and safe synthetics (no parabens, sulfates, or endocrine disrupting ingredients). Perdrisât fragrances have a parfum concentration of 22-30% – so on the stronger and longer-lasting side!
