Leave your more “vanilla” expectations at the door.
Through rows of twirling tendrils and tangled vines grows a rare orchid flower that blossoms only once a year for one day only. A hermaphroditic flower with both male and female organs nestled deep in the throat of the bloom. Her name is Vanilla Planifolia – A delicate orchid that requires sensitive care and a nurtured harvest. On the day of her opening, a farmer must gently pollinate her and wait up to 9 months until her thick green base swells into the long seedpod we know as the vanilla bean. It’s then plucked from the vine and cured until that divine aroma of true raw vanilla finally reveals herself. She is a complex creature with unmistakable allure, from first shy blossom to aromatic climax.
In keeping with the seductive allure of this complex creature, 100% naturally derived Dirty Vanilla is Heretic’s interpretation of the orchid herself: A rich, hypnotic fragrance teeming with natural, vine-grown vanilla on a bed of warm, velvety amber musk.
Part of Heretic’s Dirty collection, where classically beautiful natural ingredients are given a new spin – their hair let down, their lipstick smudged, and new territory explored.

HOW IT WEARS
Opening with the creamy soft plushness of vanilla orchid, Dirty Vanilla unsurprisingly gets dirtier as it wears. The earthy crispness of cedar, ho wood and sandalwood counter the dirtier notes of patchouli, styrax and vetiver, creating a perfect balance of dirty and clean. We love that while of course Dirty Vanilla has a little sweetness, it’s never overly sweet. It lasts really well on the skin for a natural fragrance, we generally get around 6 – 8 hours wear as it mellows into an almost animalic musky vanilla scent.
LORE LOVES
We really think this may be the most unique vanilla fragrance we have at Lore – it is anything but your stereotypical sugary sweet vanilla, it’s wild and carnal in its earthiness. Vanilla is considered by many to be an aphrodisiac, and we think this scent is proof. As it dries down the earthy, musky tones come alive and melt into your skin in the most intoxicating way. This is also one of Heretic’s best layering scents in our opinion, it smells good with pretty much every scent in the range!
