Mirabeau, what a pretty word, peculiarly Parisian, suspended above the Seine. It composes a memory, joins another bank, and returns by following its trail of sandalwood, pink bay and cedar. In the heart of the City of Light, on the way to the twilight of the day, there is a bridge, a poem and a perfume.

A discreet and symbolic bridge, of the master-builder spirit which transcends borders, becoming better by coming together. Those solid foundations of cedar, sandalwood and orcanox span love and musk.

A poem as slow as it is intense, expressing the brutal and desirable hope of the one who would like to believe, of the one who wants to love. Vanilla, I write your name on the water, with muffled traces of incense and violet green.

A perfume to save us, fish us silently out of the water, bringing us above the Seine, our spirits on the water of our essences, bergamot and pink berry mingled with fig in a glass bottle, fiercely reuniting bodies in unison with souls, coming back to her by following her wake.

HOW IT WEARS
Sous Le Pont Mirabeau is quite a surprising fragrance, but we shouldn’t be surprised given that’s what ELdO is known for! When first spritzed, it’s super fresh and aquatic – opening with the sparkle of pink pepper, bergamot, elemi and then the aquatic and ozonic accords come out, almost cucumber-y in their wateriness. This pairs perfectly with the greenery of violet leaf and fig, which as the fragrance develops, gets creamier on the skin. What’s most prominent for us on the dry down is sandalwood, smooth, warm and milky, which you would never expect from a fragrance that begins so fresh and aquatic! At the end of the wear of Sous Le Pont Mirabeau, you’re left with that quintessential ELdO molecular musk

This is one of those fragrances that gives you the best of both worlds – it’s fresh and clean yet at the same time grounding and woody. The combination of the fresher notes in the beginning with the balsamic warmth of elemi and incense plus the bright green of violet leaf and fig create an almost briny/seaweed effect before settling down to the musky, creamy base notes, which really sets it apart. We think Sous Le Pont Mirabeau would be a great fragrance for wood lovers to wear in the summer, or for people who enjoy more fresh aquatic scents in the winter. Basically, its uniqueness means it’s super versatile!
