Last year in December, we brought Initio Parfums Privés into the Lore Perfumery fold, but with all the festive chaos, we didn’t get to give them a proper introduction.
What better time to get acquainted with the brand than now, with the release of their new fragrance, Lift Me Up!
ABOUT INITIO
Studies show that up to 75% of daily emotions can be triggered by scent unconsciously. With this in mind, Initio set out as a brand to create a range of fragrances designed to more intentionally elicit particular emotional reactions. They partnered with dsm-firmenich, a perfume laboratory that has been researching the neuroscience of fragrance for over 30 years, and together created a range of perfumes that create measurable emotional response – otherwise known as functional fragrance. Each of Initio’s collections explores a different emotional territory, formulated using specific notes proven to assist in triggering certain emotions or feelings.

Part of Initio’s Hedonist collection, designed to foster healing, harmony and well-being power, Lift Me Up is supposed to do just that – lift you up! Radiant, luminous and charged with life, Lift Me Up is a fragrance that soothes, ignites and empowers, elevating your mindset to a sunnier version of you. Spritz and find yourself centred and anchored in the here and now, energy aligned and ready to let the sunshine in.

HOW IT SMELLS
Dominated by luminous magnolia flower and ylang ylang, this floral bouquet bursts with bright energy and light, while musk in overdose amplifies its radiances. The fragrance’s sun-kissed sensuality creates an irresistible connection to the skin with its vanilla and roasted tonka beans.
Lift Me Up is warm and cocooning, but never heavy, due to the angelic, almost transparent florals. Being an Extrait, this fragrance has amazing projection, and a lasting power that will take you from sunrise to sunset.
