Popular Perfume Brands: Spotlight on Histoires De Parfums

Diving deep into the world of French niche perfume brand Histoires de Parfums – this collection of perfumes, launched in the year 2000 originally focused on different decades and introduced to different characters of the literary world. From the incredible imagination of Gerald Ghislain, Histoires de Parfums is an olfactive library telling stories of famous characters, writers, poets and times throughout history. Governed by no rules other than that of inspiration, Histoires de Parfums create fragrant novels.

Gerald began his career in the food world and after falling in love with this sensory experience his craft evolved to the wonderful world of perfume. An epicurean, he tastes all that life has to offer. Considered the ‘author’ of the collection, Gerald is a man of passion, impulsiveness, adventure – an insatiable wonderer of the world. His fragrances represent the places he has been, the people he has been inspired by, the art that moves him and the moments in time that caused a stir.

As the Histoires de Parfums collection has evolved it covers not only extraordinary characters, but has a focus on using the finest materials. When Gerald is interpreting a scent he creates unexpected components, surprising blends, and truly original formulations. His desire is for his perfumes to create a “long trail, deep tempered, dense notes that are extremely sensual”.

His stories are to be told with scent, read on the skin – Gerald wants to evoke stories through scent, bringing characters throughout history back to life.
