Kismet EDP 100ml
Lubin’s ‘Classique Collection’ is expressed through timeless perfumes inspired by emblematic women who perfectly embody their eras. Inspired by the unforgettable and incredibly alluring scent created for an Ottoman spy. Kismet as the name suggests, was a beautiful mystery. Disguised as a princess to complete her mission in Paris, the beautiful woman laughed when she saw the small crystal bottle that had been created for her. It featured an embellished elephant, an allusion to the verse of Valmiki’s Ramayana, because they believed her to be an Indian princess. Spiritual and multilingual, Kismet encouraged the mystery surrounding her origins. She reigned supreme over the Paris soirées of the Roaring Twenties for a time, then one day slipped away, never to be seen again. All that remained was the memory of her intoxicating scent, the perfume that Lubin had made especially for her.

HOW IT WEARS
Kismet opens with powdery and gentle earthy tones. A clean earthy scent to begin with conjuring mystery and a sexy understated feel. Kismet quickly moves to a light and delicate resin scent with a fresh airy take. There is a dry, floral, powdery tone that comes out, smelling almost like Iris (although this note is not listed…and so the mystery of Kismet continues). We get a good wear on the skin with this Eau de Parfum lasting around 8 hours.
We love the soft, fresh warmth of resins in a fragrance and Kismet has this in spades. A comforting and somewhat familiar scent on the skin, Kismet the fragrance does exactly what Kismet the woman did – it draws you in, you can’t put your finger on what exactly is so alluring about this scent, it is charming yet understated, confidant yet quiet. And of course, it leaves a delectable trail as you silently leave a room!
