Originating from the distant lands of Latin America, cocoa has long been revered as a sacred plant, the food of the gods – the very meaning of Theobroma in Greek. A divine essence within matter. A creation around a dark and intense cocoa contrasted by the light of a singular and radiant cardamom. Rich in exceptional natural ingredients, this second extrait, composed at 40% concentration, elevates its materials to a heightened expression. HOW IT WEARS
Cocoa Kimiya begins with the photorealistic scent of a cacao bean – sweet yet with an earthy, bitter bite – cut through by the green, piquant spice of cardamom. As it settles, it gets richer, the walnut providing a buttery nuttiness, which is complemented perfectly by the sweet spice of pure vanilla. Patchouli is prominent in Cocoa Kimiya and is what blends all the notes together, blurring their edges for a smooth, velvety, luxurious finish. This is not a scent for someone who wants subtlety – it’s for those who want beast-mode longevity and projection.

We can safely say this is the most complex and sophisticated chocolate scent we have ever tried. It’s not synthetic feeling at all; it smells like the real, actual fermented cocoa beans used to make the best quality chocolate. Cacao was once worth its weight in gold, and Cocoa Kimiya demonstrates this with majesty. When combined with the sparkling spice of cardamom and earthy patchouli, it feels even more elemental, ancient, borderline mystical. The Ancient Mayans of Mesoamerica believed chocolate or xocolātl was a gift from the gods, and drank it (and vanilla) as part of spiritual rituals.
